Chateauneuf du Pape - Vins - Domaine André Brunel - Les Cailloux

Les Cailloux 1992 - Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski : 92/100

Wine Advocate - Robert Parker

The 1992 (remember, the cuvee I am describing is the one sold to the American importer) represents 850 cases of Brunel's oldest vines aged in 15-20% new oak. The wine is one of the superstars of what is an average to slightly above average vintage. It reveals an impressively saturated dark ruby/purple color, a profound, sweet, exotic nose of black raspberries, spices, and sweet vanillin. Fullbodied, dense, and concentrated, with gobs of glycerin, extract, and high alcohol, this decadently styled Chateauneuf du Pape should be drunk over the next 10 years.

Parution : 01/01/1997
