Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vintage 2002

Our vintages : Châteauneuf du Pape

The AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of the most beautiful in the Rhone Valley. It is famous for its red wines but also offers very nice white wines. Quality has no price! This is why on each vintage all the grape varieties planted in our plots allow us to best express the terroir that is ours.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2002: The first nose reveals fragrances of white-fleshed fruit (pear) then evolves on citrus notes (grapefruit, lemon). After aeration, may appear some menthol notes. The attack is very fruity, oily while maintaining a nice freshness. The white Pope’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape can already be eaten as an aperitif or associated with fish and shellfish.

Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge 2002: The perfumes of morello cherries with brandy (nucleus), gimgnolet. Some menthol notes. The attack is soft, on the fruit and then gives way to notes of strawberry wood and cocoa. Tannic finale, denoting the youth of this wine that will be consumed in the next 10 years.
