2014 Vintage - A good start

Compared to 2013 with relatively difficult weather conditions (rain and cold in May, hot and dry in the summer), 2014 is looking much better: the phreatic surfaces were sufficiently filled this past winter thanks to abundant rainfalls and March and April were relatively dry preventing the presence of diseases (downy mildew, powdery mildew), and then the month of May was fairly warm facilitating the flowering process (and limiting the coulure phenomenon which reduced the harvest by nearly 50% last year).

We’re still pretty far away from September and a lot of things could happen but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!
