The only vintage not to be destemmed as the destemmer broke the day before harvest! A very transparent Châteauneuf, not darkly coloured. Complex on the nose already with raspberry, cherry and almond flecks to the principal strawberry fruit alongside a smoky, lightly camphorous. Rounded, fuller in body and richer in glycerol than the 2016. A little high in alcohol, but will be good in time A very elegant expression of CNDP, with fine tannins and a very true, authentic expression of Châteauneuf Grenache. This will be excellent in time.
